Fernie is the fastest growing resort in Canada, with over 100 uncrowded extensively groomed pistes.There are 10 lifts accessing the trails and 5 Alpine bowls. Beginners can take the green trails which cover one third of the mountain and offer wide, open, daily groomed rolling pistes. At the base of the mountain there is a selection of shops, bars and restaurants. The main town of Fernie is 4 miles from the ski area.There are 10 lifts accessing 107 trails and 5 Alpine bowls. Beginners can take the green trails, which cover 30 percent of the mountain and offer plenty of wide-open, daily groomed rolling slopes. Known for its deep powder, intermediates and advanced levels will be spoilt for choice! Intermediates will enjoy some glade skiing or powder skiing in the Cedar and Lizard bowls. Real powder hounds should try a day of snowcat skiing with a guide.
