Grau Roig - Introduction
Pas de la Casa - Grau Roig is twinned with Soldeu and between them create the fabulous Grand Valira ski domain. The highest resort in the Pyrenees, Pas, as it is known, is also renowned for it thriving nightlife. Skiing here is exceptional and comparable with the finest Alpine resorts. With nearly 200 km of terrain and serviced by an extensive lift system, Pas de la Casa has terrain to suit all abilities. Beginners will benefit from the excellent ski school, while the Riba Escorxada will test intermediates and experts.
Skiing
Since Pas and Soldeu have been linked together on the same lift pass it has become a world class ski destination! Excellent value for money. There are plenty of top to bottom reds and blues for the intermediate and advanced can try the mogul fields or the excellent off piste skiing at Grau Roig.
Snowboarding
Pas de la Casa and Grau Roig has got to be the best areas for snowboarders offering many fun parks, half pipes and boardcross courses, Great for off-pistes trails.
Ski Schools
150 instructors many of them English speaking, 3 hour lessons per day. Helmets are compulsory for children.
Eating Out
A great place for eating out, Pas is a town in its own right, not just a ski resort, food varies from pizza and chips to excellent Catalan cuisine!
Bars and clubs
Pas de la Casa comes alive in the evenings! It is a wild party town, from the Pub Milwaukee down to the Billboard disco where you can party all night long! A fabulous resort to ski hard, play hard, and the beer is affordable!...The town of Pas de la Casa boasts a number of bars famous for their liveliness such as ‘Paddy’s Pub’ and ‘Milwaukee’. The restaurants are generally well priced and guarantee good value and ‘Bar Pas 83’ comes highly recommended.
Off the slopes
Pas is excellent for shopping, it is further from the main town of Andorra La Vella than the other two resorts but it is certainly worth a visit. Not the prettiest resort in the world but a great all rounder. There is an excellent leisure centre and skidooing is also available!
