Gstaad - Introduction

Skiing

The Wispile has some lovely, gentle areas that are perfect for the cautious beginner. There are numerous wide open trails throughout the six regions and many of these offers stunning scenery and tree-lined skiing – perfect for the relaxed intermediate. There are a few black runs, and some mogul fields, as well as extensive off-piste possibilities and even heli-sking options for those look for the ultimate challenges.
Snowboarding
There is a snow park with jumps and a half pipe, as well as a boarder cross in the local area of Eggli. This area is often floodlit in the evening and plays lively music and attracts many snowboarders and freeriders. There are several other parks to choose from, a little further afield, and this along with the long open pistes makes Gstaad the perfect playground for snowboarders.
Ski Schools
There are many excellent ski schools to choose from in Gstaad, offering group and private tuition to skiers and snowboarders of all levels.

There are more than 100 restaurants to chose from, catering for every taste and budget. Gstaad offers the very best in culinary excellence, with some of the most creative chefs and best variety of food in the area.
Bars and clubs
There are loads of trendy bars and lively nightclubs in Gstaad – with the most popular ones not coming cheap. All types of après-ski are catered for in Gstaads establishments – live music, jazz, piano bars and some even with cabaret acts.
