Ischgl - Introduction

Ischgl is a fashionable village with some of the best skiing in Austria. Set high in the Paznaun valley in the heart of the Silvretta mountains. Excellent apres ski and with many lively bars and night spots make this a popular destination with its snowsure location.
Skiing
The Silvretta ski arena includes six interconnecting valleys with 235 kms of pistes. Many lifts rise up to 8850 ft and with many North facing runs Ischgl enjoys a relaible snow record. Extensive off piste is available for advanced skiers.
Snowboarding
Between Idjoch and Idalp is a championship half-pipe and an excellent terrain park. A boarder - cross course and a popular timed race course make this an excellent resort for boarders.
Ski Schools
Schools meet up at Idalp and start very late from 10.30 - 1230. Off piste tours are available. Childcare facilities are all up at Idalp and there is an enclosed learning zone and adventure garden with cartoon characters.
Eating Out
Ischgl provides almost every type of restaurant – from typical Tyrolean specialities to gourmet cuisine.
Bars and clubs
Ischgl is one of the liveliest resorts in the Alps, head for the Trofana Alm and Schatzi bar for Après-ski. Hollboda bar is recommended for live music. With many late bars and nightclubs such as Pacha and also a casino there is plenty of choice for those seeking nightlife.
Off the slopes
Floodlit tobogganing 7 km, Ice skating, Curling, 50km of winter walks, leisure centre with indoor pool. Bowling, indoor Tennis and sleigh rides are also available to make this and excellent choice for any non skiers.
