PEISEY VALLANDRY - Introduction

Resort Information PEISEY VALLANDRY
Peisey Vallandry is a small, tranquil, alpine resort on the sunny side of the valley, with links to the skiing areas of La Plagne and Les Arcs. Beautiful skiing through long tree-lined runs, Peisey Vallandry has terrains to suit all abilities. With many locals living here all year long, this is a marvellous opportunity to experience a resort with real mountain village charm. The vast and varied amount of terrain makes Peisey Vallandry the perfect place to visit with a mixed ability group.

Skiing

Beginners and intermediates will enjoy the many relaxing runs through beautiful woodland that Peisey Vallandry has to offer as well as some of the most spectacular scenery within the Paradski area of Les Arcs and La Plagne. The wide variety of terrain available in nearby Les Arcs or La Plagne is perfect for more adventurous intermediates or expert skiers, with more than 400km of pistes to cover at altitudes up to 3000m.

Snowboarding

The Paradski area is often described as being the home of snowboarding. The combination of a brilliant snowpark in Arcs 1600, large numbers of chairlifts and gondolas, and varied terrain for all styles makes Peisey Vallandry and the surrounding areas perfect for snowboarders.

Ski Schools

Evolution 2 and the Ecole de Ski Francais offer a great range of courses to suit all ages and abilities.

Eating Out

There are just over 25 restaurants to chose from in the resort, serving mainly French and local Savoyard specialities.

Bars and clubs

The après-ski scene and nightlife in Peisey Vallandry is a little subdued, partly due to the number of families on holiday at this resort. There are a few great bars and cafes to choose from where you can chill with an ice cold beer or hot chocolate.

Off the slopes

There are plenty of activities to be getting on with off the slopes, from dog sledding and horse drawn sled rides to snow shoeing. For those looking for more relaxed activities there are the various mountain walks around the resort, or perhaps take a pleasant stroll through this attractive village and the various shops it has to offer.
