SAINT SORLIN D'ARVES - Introduction

Resort Information SAINT SORLIN D'ARVES
Saint Sorlin-d’Arves is a relatively undiscovered resort set within the newly expanding Les Syballes ski area which offers over 300km of pistes. The quiet runs, tranquil village and stunning scenery make Saint Sorlin a charming and cheaper alternative to the larger mainstream resorts.

Skiing

The nursery slopes near the village and some confidence building green runs make this resort a good learning ground for beginners. The most interesting slopes are perfect for the intermediate skier with wide groomed blues and challenging reds. There a few on-piste challenges for expert skiers, a couple of black runs, but there are extensive off-piste options which are often untracked days after fresh powder has fallen.

Snowboarding

The quiet off-piste runs are great for snowboarders although be warned – there are several draglifts! There is a snow park and also a free ride area to satisfy the needs of snowboarders and freestylers.

Ski Schools

The Ecole du Ski Francais offers a great range of courses to suit all ages and abilities.

Eating Out

There are several restaurants to choose from all of which over excellent value for money. Most eateries in this resort are family friendly and have a wide choice of food to suit all including local specialities, pizzas and pasta.

Bars and clubs

While the resort is not extremely lively there are one or two bars where you can go to relax with a nice cold beet after a hard day on the piste.

Off the slopes

For those who still have some energy left after skiing there is a choice of activities including snow shoeing, skidooing and dog sledding.
