SELVA VAL GARDENA - Information

Situated in the north east of Italy, Selva Ski Resort is about 2 hours drive from Innsbruck. Selva is a traditional Italian mountain village which has remained relatively unspoilt. Selva is very well located on the Sella Ronda which offers spectacular scenery with excellent skiing for all standards but particularly intermediates. It has a substantial snow making capacity and a modern lift system. Selva itself has a relaxed Italian feel with bars and restaurants, and on Friday afternoons, those looking for entertainment, will enjoy the Austrian style tea dance.Skiing in Selva is varied; novices will enjoy excellent gentle nursery slopes on both sides of the valley and after a few days the long well groomed runs at Col Raiser can be ventured onto. The many long cruising blue runs at Plan de Gralba are easily reached by the excellent connecting lift system and the region also features unsurpassed skiing for intermediates especially on the link on to the Sella Ronda. Add onto this over 175kms of skiing in the Val Gardena, and intermediates have an enormous range of pistes to choose from.
