Saalbach - Information

Resort Information Saalbach

Saalbach is a great location for a ski or snowboard holiday, either for a weekend break, a week or perhaps even two! So whether you are looking for simple cheap accommodation or a deluxe hotel package, Saalbach has something to suit. The resort is twinned with Hinterglemm and together they offer one of the best skiing domains for intermediates in Austria. The skiing is on both sides of the valley in which the resorts lie and offers 200km of piste, well connected by lifts, packed with cruiser blues and reds. Beginners will find the resort a good place to learn and the more advanced will also find some things of interest. Both villages have a rustic feel and with a number of bars, restaurants and cafés enjoy a lively Après-Ski atmosphere.Lifts rise from the village both sides of the valley and with access to 200km of slopes there is sure to be plenty to interest all skiers. The majority of runs are ideal for improving technique or for simply cruising. Making a circuit of the Saalbach-Hinterglemm valley is great fun and with more than 30 mountain bars and restaurants there is plenty of scope for refreshment stops along the way! There are lots of wide open slopes and even one or two runs over 5km long for those who love to bag the miles.
