Steamboat
- Introduction

Steamboat Springs is famously known as the home of “Champagne Powder”, nestled at 7,000 feet up in the Rockies and with six peaks offering world-class terrain. Steamboat has a huge expanse of skiing for beginners, recreational skiers and families, right through to advanced mogul bashers and freestyle riders. Steamboat is also one of North America’s largest ski mountains with almost 3,000 ski-able acres. The resort itself enjoys purpose-built lodging at the base of the mountain with the convenience of near-doorstep skiing. Four peaks – Sunshine, Storm, Thunderhead and Christie – offer 2,500 acres of skiing, and the resort has almost completed a massive expansion including the opening of a brand new mountain – Morningside Park. All that, and enough champagne powder to keep even the most avid fan happy. If you’re not staying slopeside, buses run every 20 minutes.
