VALLOIRE - Information
Originally a small mountain farming village, Valloire is set amongst the spectacular scenery of the Maurienne Valley. Linked with the resort of Valmeinier it gives access to an excellent ski area with varied terrain. This attractive resort has an authentic French mountain village feel, is extremely family friendly and is a cheaper alternative to larger mainstream resorts.Valloire and neighbouring Valmeinier have a wide variety of slopes for both the beginner and the intermediate to choose from. From nursery slopes at resort level, wide open and easy turning blues on the Gros Grey, to tree lined slopes on La Setaz. Experts may have to look a little harder for challenges although Crey du Quart in the Valmeinier valley has some good off-piste to be found.
